Setting a Personal Baseline is the foundational step in understanding and managing your alcohol consumption. Instead of merely counting drinks, a baseline gives your tracking meaning by acting as your personalized long-term orientation point.

It is important to understand what a baseline is — and what it isn't. It is expressed as a daily alcohol amount, but it is not a strict daily limit you must never cross. Think of it more like a long-term average you are aiming to stay around. Some days you may drink a little more, some days less or not at all — that is perfectly normal. What matters is that over time, your consumption gravitates back toward, and ideally below, that middle value. The baseline is your compass, not a hard wall.

By setting this personal target, tracking becomes genuinely actionable: the app clearly shows you when you are running ahead of your pace, exactly how many recovery days you need to bring your average back in line, and how many drinks you've successfully avoided to protect your health.

Establishing the Baseline

Your Personal Baseline is initially configured during the Onboarding process when you first launch the app. As your lifestyle and habits evolve, you can effortlessly adjust this limit at any time by navigating to Settings -> Personalization to redefine your pure alcohol ceiling.

Determining Your Target

If you are unsure what a healthy baseline looks like, Relimie provides dynamic, science-based suggestions. These recommendations are aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines. The app also contextualizes your target by comparing it against the median consumption levels tailored to your country's health data and adjusted for your gender. As your habits improve, pay attention to your actual consumption patterns: if you consistently find yourself drinking well below your current limit, that is a strong positive signal — consider revisiting Settings → Personalization to tighten your baseline to a lower value. Your ceiling should grow stricter as you grow stronger.

Tracking Your Progress

Once your baseline is established, monitoring your adherence takes only moments. By tapping the glowing Orb on your Home Screen, you toggle into the Baseline Trend View — a second tap cycles you back to the standard display. This instantly visualizes whether you are under your limit or exactly how many recovery days you need to get back on track. The Orb's color signals your position at a glance: green when you are safely within your limit, gold when you are approaching it, and red when recovery days are needed. Note that on past dates, tapping the Orb does not cycle views — instead, it logs a "Clear Day" for that day if it has no entry recorded. For comprehensive, long-term macro-shifts, you can dive deeper into the Trends tab located inside the Analytics Hub.


2. Drinks Logging

The Core Concept

Tracking your drinks accurately should be completely frictionless while still providing a wealth of data for your future self. Relimie goes beyond standard alcohol counting by capturing a holistic picture of your consumption's real-world impact. When you are ready to track, simply tap the Add Drink button on the Home Screen.

Comprehensive Tracking

When you log a drink, you inherently log much more than just the alcohol. Relimie automatically calculates the money spent by estimating costs based on your country and your selected location context — you can choose between "Home" and "Outside" directly within the logging screen, since a drink at a bar typically costs significantly more than the same drink at home. If the auto-calculated summary price still doesn't match your actual bill, you can easily correct it by long-pressing the Total Price in the bottom summary bar to manually overwrite the final amount spent. Furthermore, the app actively counts the calories generated by your alcohol intake, providing another layer of health awareness.

Relimie stores a built-in catalog of pre-delivered standard drinks, but also allows you to securely save any number of your own custom drinks. To make navigating this growing catalog effortless, a dedicated Search Bar helps you find your drinks faster. Once you have typed a search term and no match is found, the AI Sparkle button automatically appears. Tapping this button prompts the system to research and autofill the correct Volume and ABV for your new drink. AI-assisted detection is available across all tiers, though the number of monthly lookups is tiered — Trial users receive a generous quota to explore the feature, while Subscription and Lifetime Premium holders enjoy higher limits. You also have total control over what is displayed: you can use the (+) button to define custom drinks manually, and you can use the Organizing Dialog to hide any catalog drinks you don't use, keeping your interface beautifully relevant to your lifestyle.

Reviewing Your Statistics

All of this comprehensively collected data is gathered and visualized for you inside the Analytics Hub. You can open the Hub at any time by swiping up on the Home Screen, or by tapping the grid icon in the top corner of the screen. Inside, you'll find the Consumption Overview. This section breaks your logging down in explicit detail:

  • Money Spent: You can track the precise financial impact of your habits by viewing your Total Spent over your entire tracking lifespan, alongside your Avg Spent (average daily cost). Furthermore, this financial data actively powers the insights in the Trends and Habits tabs, allowing you to evaluate if your monthly spending is safely decreasing or dangerously increasing compared to past months.
  • Calories Counted: See exactly how drinking affects your diet by viewing your Total Calories and your daily Avg Calories.
  • Alcohol Volume: The tab clearly tracks your total pure alcohol intake and the overall volume of standard drinks you've consumed.
    This detailed breakdown ensures you maintain a holistic, immediate view of the financial and physical impacts of your consumption over time.

3. Diary and Tags

The Core Concept

Understanding why you drink is vastly more important than simply counting what you drink. The Diary and Tagging system is intentionally designed to build the emotional and situational context directly around your numerical data.

Documenting the Emotional Context

Emotional context is crucial for identifying behavioral triggers. By logging your emotional state before drinking, how you feel the day after a heavy session, or the positive energy you experience during a sober streak, you build a roadmap of your psychology. You can seamlessly reach your daily journal directly by tapping the Log button right on the Home Screen. Furthermore, you can also access it automatically after logging a new drink, by tapping any specific chronological day inside your Diary, or simply by swiping the date layout on the Home Screen. For Premium users, tapping directly on any entry in the Diary History acts as a quick-edit shortcut, jumping straight to that day's journal without navigating away from the Diary view.

Contextual Tagging System

Relimie offers fast, contextual emotional tags to categorize your days. The app automatically detects your situation and surfaces only the most relevant category — no manual selection required. Triggers (like stressed, bored, or facing social pressure) appear when you log alcohol, After-Effects (such as hangover, anxiety, or guilt) are available the day after drinking, and Sober Feelings (like feeling productive or great) are highlighted on clean days. You can perfectly match your personal psychological footprint by creating and managing custom, user-defined tags through the Settings menu.

Recognizing Patterns

Over time, this emotional data becomes your strongest tool. Inside the Analytics Hub under the Habits section, Relimie actively re-ranks your most frequently used tags up against your consumption days. This automatically generates a "Top Reasons You Drink" list, allowing you to anticipate and actively avoid specific situational triggers.


4. Cravings and Breathing

The Core Concept

When a sudden urge or craving to drink hits, sheer willpower often isn't enough. Disrupting the immediate impulse gives your rational brain a crucial moment to catch up and regain control, significantly reducing the probability of an unwanted relapse.

Riding Out the Impulse

By long-pressing the Orb on Today's date, you trigger an immediate psychological circuit breaker directly on the Home Screen. The screen transforms into a calm, expanding and contracting visual that guides you through the proven 4-7-8 Breathing Technique — inhaling for 4 seconds, holding for 7, and exhaling for 8. This mindful support flow is accompanied by grounding citations and quotes to help anchor your focus. Once the breathing cycle completes, the app surfaces a prompt to log a "Clear Day" — a positive reinforcement step that turns the act of resisting a craving into a trackable achievement on your sober streak.


5. Analytics Hub

The Core Concept

The Analytics Hub is where your daily inputs are transformed into actionable, long-term insights, allowing you to view your overarching progress and behavior shifts clearly. You can open it at any time by swiping up on the Home Screen, or by tapping the grid icon in the top corner of the screen.

Visualizing Your Lifespan

The hub provides a complete snapshot of your tracking lifespan. Inside, you can review your Consumption Overview to see your daily average spending, total caloric impact, and your overall ratio of sober days versus drinking days. The Streaks System cleanly highlights your defining milestones, placing your longest ever sober streak in perspective against your longest heavy drinking period. Through sweeping visual charts, the Trends and Habits sections allow you to verify if your consumption and spending are currently trending safely downward, and pinpoint exactly which days of the week or months of the year leave you most vulnerable to relapse.

Reviewing Consumption History

Below your overview metrics, the Hub hosts your complete Consumption History. This chronologically ordered ledger allows you to easily review all past entries. More importantly, tapping directly on the history summary opens a date picker, allowing you to seamlessly navigate back to any specific previous date on the Home Screen. From there, you can effortlessly adjust logged drinks, amend your diary notes, or refine your emotional tags entirely retroactively.


6. Data Export

The Core Concept

Your sobriety journey is intimately private. While there may be times you need to share your progress with a medical professional or securely back up your history, Relimie ensures you retain complete ownership over your data by defaulting to a private, offline-first architecture.

Sharing and Protecting Your History

To share your milestones with a therapist, doctor, or sponsor, you can generate a "Share My Story" PDF Export native to the Hub. This creates a beautifully rendered report of your critical metrics. To protect your privacy, it omits your deeply personal journal prose, while still including your emotional tags — so your behavioral patterns remain visible without exposing your private thoughts. Additionally, the Raw JSON Backup tool exports your entire application profile — including all logs, catalog, and tag configurations — into a portable file. This is ideal for deep-diving into your own data using an external tool or a Gen AI assistant to surface patterns that go beyond the built-in analytics.

While tracking and analyzing form the core of Relimie, the app also includes several utility features to further support your journey:

  • Alcohol Unit Customization: Relimie can display your consumption in the unit system that feels most natural to you. Navigate to Settings → Personalization to choose between Grams of pure alcohol, Milliliters, or Standard Drinks calibrated to the US, UK, or Australian definitions.
  • Multilingual Support: Relimie is fully localized to ensure you can interact with your health data in your native tongue. Currently, the app natively supports three languages: English, German, and Russian.
  • Daily Reminders: To help you build a consistent tracking habit, you can enable a daily reminder notification through the Settings menu. This gentle nudge ensures you never forget to check in and log your daily emotional state.
